Jean de florette is about two souberrons who lived next to a farm. They wanted to pochard a few acres from him but he hit his head on a rock and died and in his will he left his land to florette who was also dead so her son who was a hunchback took the place. The souberrons didn't like this because the land was rich and it had a spring in it. So they pluged the spring in hopes that the hunchback would leave and they could have the land to plant carnations. Well the hunchback died digging for a well. This forced the hunchbacks family to sell the house to the souberrons. They unplugged the spring and manon saw it. Manon de la source is about the younger souberron falling in love with manon. Manon didnt want anything to do with the souberron so he killed himself. Then the old souberron found out that he was the hunchbacks father. The old man was so depressed he decided to die and left his fortune . Fin.
